Project - Swiss Roll Recipe card

Fab little miniature Swiss roll slices feature on this card.

For this one print:-

The Swiss Roll motif sheet onto quality white card
The Red polka dot background onto quality white paper

Cover the front of a 7" x 5" ivory or cream card blank with the red polka dot paper. You can print our ivory sheet shown below onto a white card blank if you have nothing the right colour.

Cut out one of the Swiss roll pictures and a recipe with a craft knife and ruler. Mount the recipe to the card with double-sided tape and add the picture with sticky pads so that it overlaps the recipe slightly.

The Swiss roll slices are made with lemon (ivory) fun foam and red tissue paper. Cut a piece of fun foam to around 8 x 5cm. Add a couple of strips of 12mm double-sided tape. Cut a piece of red tissue paper so that it's a bit bigger than the fun foam, then scrunch it up, flatten it out again, fold in the edges and stick it to the fun foam.

Add a couple more strips of double-sided tape to the tissue paper and tightly roll it up. I had doubts that the double-sided tape would hold the roll closed so I also added some Aleene's tacky glue to the end of the roll and clamped it lightly (I've got little clamps but you could also do it with a couple of clothes pegs).

When the glue has dried, cut slices of the Swiss roll with a craft knife and use the best ones for the card.

Stick both the Swiss roll slices and a miniature knife (from Mad about Cards' Miniature Kitchen Tools) to the card with Aleene's tacky glue.

There is a knife on the Grandma's Recipe Extras 2 sheet that can be cut out and used if you don't have any miniature tools available.
