Project - Grandma's Knitting card

This Grandma bear image was just right for using together with mini-knitting. I didn't have any pink knitting wool or knitting needles even but I did a quick Facebook appeal and my neighbour turned up with some!

For this one print:-

The Grandma Bear motif sheet onto quality white card
The pink crossweave background onto quality white paper
The Teddy Bear Tales miniatures sheet onto quality white paper

To make the card, cover a white 7" x 5" card blank with the pink crossweave background paper using double-sided tape.

Cut a large motif and greeting from the motif sheet and add to the card with sticky pads.

To make the knitting needles, add strong tacky glue to the ends of two cocktails sticks and push them as firmly as possible into large pearl or wooden beads. Once the glue has dried, trim off any protruding cocktail stick point with small scissors.

For the mini-knitting, cast on around 16 stitches on the smallest knitting needles you have using pink knitting wool. Knit around 4 rows, making sure that the loose end of the wool where you cast on is at the opposite end to where you finish knitting. Transfer the knitting onto the other knitting needle, then onto one of the cocktail stick needles.

Cut the knitting wool, leaving quite a long end to make the knitting wool ball with. Roll the end around your finger to make the ball, then wrap around one of the 'wool' wraps from the miniatures sheet, sealing with sellotape or double-sided tape.

Push the other cocktail stick needle through the front of the knitting, then stick to the card with double-sided tape.
