To make the card, stick one of the small motifs and the border strip from the motif sheet onto silver metallic card and trim round with a craft knife and ruler to leave a small border (top and bottom only for the border).

Stick a 3.5cm piece of the backing paper to the bottom of an ivory DL card blank with double-sided tape, then add the cut-to-size border piece.

Cut out the Happy Birthday decoration pieces from the Art Deco template sheet with a craft knife and ruler. Make up the piece with double-sided tape with the widest piece at the bottom, working through to the narrowest/tallest piece which goes on top.

Add a couple of layers of scrap card to the back of the piece, at the bottom, so that it sits flat on the card, then stick with double-sided tape as shown.

Similarly, add tiny pieces of scrap card to the back of the birthday greeting at the ends, so that it will sit flat on the Art Deco piece, then stick with double-sided tape.

Add the motif to the card with sticky pads.

Finish by decorating the card with 1cm squares of metallic card.
