Project - Christmas Cake card

A lovely little Christmas recipe book features on this pretty card.

To make this one print:-

The Christmas Cake recipe card sheet onto quality white card
The Holly (green) background onto quality white paper
The Christmas Kitchen Minis 3 sheet onto quality white paper
The Christmas Kitchen Minis 1 & 4 sheets onto quality white card

The Christmas Kitchen Minis 1 sheet can downloaded for free by clicking here. Click on the link to open the image in Adobe Acrobat reader - if you need it you can download it for free by clicking on the button below.

To make the card, completely cover the front of a cream DL card blank with the holly backing paper using double-sided tape.

Cut out a Christmas Cake recipe card from the sheet with a craft knife and ruler, and also a long greeting from the Minis 1 sheet. Mount them onto larger pieces of gold metallic card with double-sided tape. Trim round with your craft knife and ruler to leave a small border. Mount the recipe card piece to the card with sticky pads.

To make the little recipe book, cut out a cover and 6 pages (or as many as you want) with a craft knife and ruler. Use narrow double-sided tape on the left hand side of the pages to stick them neatly together, then into the folded cover. Trim with your craft knife and ruler to neaten the book.

For the wooden spoon, cut it out from the cardstock sheet with a combination of a craft knife and ruler for the straight bits, and small scissors for the rest. Chalk the edges with a beige/brown chalk if required. Stick to the card with sticky pads (cut down for the handle-area).

Stick the spoon to the card with sticky pads (cut down for the handle). Add the recipe book with double-sided tape.

Add narrow burgundy ribbon to the bottom of the card with narrow double-sided tape (cut down if you only have wider tape). Add the greeting with sticky pads.

Finish the card with ribbon bows made from the same burgundy ribbon - add one to the spoon handle and two more either side of the greeting. Stick them with a strong tacky glue such as Aleene's.
