This set of 30 card-making sheets is based around 10 beautiful Japanese images by illustrator Warwick Goble (1862-1943).

Warwick Goble was an illustrator of children's books who specialised in fairies, Japanese and Indian themes.

His style can be compared to that of Arthur Rackham, although his pictures are perhaps not as macabre and dark as his perhaps better-known counterpart.

Warwick Goble was born in Dalston, North London and was the son of a commercial traveller.  After completing his studies at the Westminster School of Art, he worked for a printer specialising in chromolithography and contributed to the Pall Mall Gazette and the Westminster Gazette.

He went on to illustrate many books including Charles Kingsley's Water Babies, Treasure Island and War of the Worlds.

This 30-sheet set features motifs in 3 sizes for A6, 7" x 5" and DL cards, small pyramage sheets and lovely backgrounds that co-ordinate with both the motifs and the pyramage beautifully.
