This card is created almost entirely using our own downloadables. It's great for a bowling friend or relative and you can easily use one of the other colour bowling backing papers in the Popular Sports downloadables set (8679) to make it more suitable for a lady.

An A6 hammer white card blank has been used as the base here. The blue bowling background paper can be downloaded for free by clicking here. Click on the link to open the image in Adobe Acrobat reader - if you need it you can download it for free by clicking on the button below.

Print this onto white hammer paper. Cut a 4.5cm strip of this and stick it to the bottom half of the card blank (landscape way round) using double-sided tape. Cut a 1.5cm strip (5 'stripes') of natural corrugated card and trim it to fit the width of the card blank. Stick with double sided tape to make the 'bowling alley'.

Print the bowling objects downloadable onto white hammer card. Cut out 3 of the 4cm skittles and a matching sized bowling ball using a craft knife or small scissors. To give the skittles a little more definition, and to tie in the colour to the backing paper, apply some blue chalk around the edges of the skittles using the chalk applicator in the pack. I didn't fix mine but if you want to stop it smudging, apply a fine mist of hairspray to them. After deciding on your arrangement, stick the skittles and bowling ball to the card blank with sticky pads, using 2 layers of pad where necessary.

Print the Happy Birthday motifs downloadable onto white hammer card. Cut out one of the pale blue motifs using a trimmer or craft knife and ruler. Mount onto a larger piece of silver metallic card with double-sided tape and trim around the motif to leave a small border. Attach to the card blank with sticky pads.
