This fabulous Printable Heaven Retro Santa Christmas Collection features 12 co-ordinating A4 images that have been designed to make up paper chains, background papers, gift boxes, Santa notecards, tags, tag envelopes and fabulous Christmas crackers in two sizes.

To make the paper-chains, print the paper-chains image onto a sheet of paper. Turn the paper over and print the vintage wording sheet onto the other side. Borderless printing is best for this (otherwise just trim off any white borders afterwards).

Printer paper works OK but they come out slightly better when you use a paper that's a little heavier - 100 - 120gsm works best. Once printed, add a strip of double-sided tape down the long edge of the paper on the wording side. Turn over and use a craft knife and ruler to cut up the individual strips. Then just remove the tape backing and assemble. One sheet of paper makes around a 70cm length of paper chains. 

To make up the gift boxes, print onto thin inkjet card around 140-170gsm. It's fine to use thicker card but you may find that you will need more than double-sided tape to hold it together, otherwise it may pop open. If all else fails, try neatly stapling it. For a really luxurious box, print the other side of the card with the wording sheet from this set.

Cut out the box with a craft knife and ruler and indent all the lines with an embossing tool (or metal nail file or table knife etc). Fold and sharply crease all the lines before sticking the corners with double-sided tape (or staple if thicker card was used).

For the tags, just cut out with a craft knife and ruler and fold. Add elasticated cord or ribbon to decorate. For the tag envelopes, cut out with a craft knife and ruler, fold on all the lines and stick with narrow double-sided tape.

To make the Christmas Crackers, cut out the whole image with a craft knife and ruler. Stick a length of 12mm double-sided tape down one of the long sides. Emboss a line across the centre of the diamonds with an embossing tool or bone folder, then fold over. Cut the diamonds out from the folded card with a craft knife and ruler or small scissors. Repeat for the other end.

Roll up the cracker, then remove the backing from the double-sided tape and stick it so that the first diamond matches up with the one from the other side. Add a hat, motto, snap and small gift, then tie up with ribbon or fibres.
