Alphonse Mucha is hardly a household name for so many but his wonderful illustrious and decadent style will be familiar to almost all!
Mucha (pronounced Moo-ka) (1860-1939) was a Czech artist who studied in Paris, working on producing magazine and advertising illustrations.
In 1894 he was working as cover in a print shop over Christmas when someone came in who was looking for an artist to produce a poster of Sarah Bernhardt, the most famous actress in Paris at that time.
As all of the regular artists were away for Christmas, Mucha volunteered to produce a proof to see if they liked it. Within 2 weeks he produced a stunning poster for her current play, Gismonda. She were thrilled with his work - and so successful was it that Bernhardt entered into a six year contract with Mucha to produce advertising posters for her plays.
A flurry of work followed for Mucha - paintings, posters, advertisements and book illustrations and thanks to that, we have a beautiful set here, full of wonderful pictures that are perfect for card-making!
This set contains 70 sheets, all A4, and includes motifs, pyramage, A4 prints and notecard/bookmark sheets, all of which can be used for personal use or for sale.
Dress up the images with glitter or glitter glue an add gold metallic card for a really decadent look - just beautiful!
Our French Advertising collection consists of 160 sheets made up of Postcards, Motifs, Pyramage and Backgrounds.
The postcard sheets each feature 2 postcard-size images and a border strip made up of smaller pictures.
The postcards look fantastic as motifs on larger A5 cards and as well as that they can be framed and used as pictures too.
The picture strip can be used as a border or you could cut up the little images and use them individually.
The French Advertising motifs sheets each feature French advertising motifs in three sizes, perfect for different greeting card formats.
The A4 size background images have been made to co-ordinate with the other items in the French Advertising set - they look great with the pyramage, picture motifs and postcards. Mix and match and see what you can achieve.
This Vintage Advertising set contains 40 motif sheets using vintage adverts which allow you to make complete cards in just one sheet as they contain motifs, a background strip and greetings.
Old advertising posters are probably my favourite type of printed image. They usually contain illustrations rather than photos which is lovely - and they also give an insight into a bit of social history (check out the Lux advert!).
There's also another set of 40 background sheets to complement the Vintage Advertising Motifs.
As if that's not enough, we've also included another 79 A4 Prints featuring vintage Adverts and 31 postcard sheets featuring smaller images already sized for A6 frames.
Our postcards and prints feature images which are ideal for framing and putting up around the house orselling at craft fairs or markets.
Suitable for PC/MAC.
Please note that the software box shown above is for illustrative purposes only - the DVD is printed, supplied in a plastic wallet and sent in a sturdy cardboard disc mailer.
